Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G)

Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G) is a Government of India rural housing programme aimed at providing safe and permanent houses with basic amenities to eligible rural households who are homeless or living in inadequate housing conditions.


 

Mulanthuruthy Block Panchayat supports the effective implementation of the programme by coordinating with the concerned local self-government institutions and government systems to facilitate housing assistance for eligible beneficiaries within the Block Panchayat area.

💰 Housing Construction Financial Assistance

Under PMAY-G, eligible rural beneficiaries receive housing construction assistance including the Central and State Government contributions.

As per the Central Government norms reflected in the reference programme information, the PMAY-G unit assistance for houses in plain areas is ₹1.20 lakh.

In Kerala, additional assistance and Local Self-Government Institution contributions may be provided in coordination with State-level housing programmes.

Financial assistance is released in stages to the beneficiary's bank account based on the progress of house construction.

Assistance for sanitation facilities is also facilitated through relevant government programmes along with housing construction.
